Mediation Services – Rates & Policies
At Alliance Mediation Services LLC, we are committed to providing high-quality, professional mediation services that are transparent, fair, and accessible. Our fee structure reflects both the value of experienced, structured mediation and a recognition that families come to mediation with differing financial circumstances.
Standard Mediation Rate
✸ Divorce and Family Mediation: $400 per hour
The hourly rate is shared equally between the parties.
Reduced-Fee / Sliding Scale Availability
✸ Reduced-Fee Options:
Our goal is to make mediation accessible while maintaining the integrity and sustainability of the process. A limited number of reduced-fee slots are available for clients with demonstrated financial need. Sliding-scale fees are discussed during the initial consultation and offered at the mediator’s discretion, based on overall financial circumstances.
Multi-Session Package Discount
✸ Pre-Purchased Session Packages:
Clients who anticipate working through parenting plans, financial issues, and comprehensive separation agreements over several sessions may commit to multiple mediation sessions in advance and receive a 20% discount on the standard hourly rate. A minimum of four sessions is required to receive reduced a reduced rate.
Session Length & Scheduling
✸ Session Length:
Mediation sessions are typically scheduled in 2- or 3-hour blocks, depending on the complexity of the issues and the parties’ preferences.
✸ Virtual Mediation:
All mediations are conducted virtually via a secure video platform, allowing flexibility, convenience, and statewide accessibility across Massachusetts.
Billing and Payment Terms
✸ Payment Structure:
Payment is required in advance of each scheduled session unless otherwise agreed in writing.
✸ Invoices & Receipts:
Invoices and receipts are provided for all mediation services. Payment may be made by credit card or other approved electronic methods.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Mediation sessions are reserved exclusively for the parties and time is held open accordingly.
✸ Cancellations or Rescheduling:
Requests must be made in writing (email).
Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a charge of up to the full scheduled session time.
Fees may be waived if the vacated time is successfully rebooked.
Additional Information
✸ Mediation fees include standard administrative time related to scheduling and session management.
✸ Any extraordinary preparation or document-drafting work will be discussed in advance.
✸ Mediation services are voluntary and confidential, consistent with Massachusetts law.
